- Created for the Milliners Guild exhibition honoring American Suffrage.
- Designed with Raleigh native and important suffrage figure Anna Julia Cooper.
- A popular 1920s wide brim, cloche crown style trimmed in United States Suffrage colors in the form of a doctorate tassel honoring Anna Julia's accomplishment as the 4th African American woman to earn a doctorate degree in 1924.
Lifted Millinery headwear is constructed with time honored techniques and fine craftsmanship. All hats are meticulously blocked and sewn by hand without the use of adhesives to attach trims. This ensures a long lasting hat with the ability to be retrimmed throughout the years.
A hat box for careful storage is included with every hat purchase.
All hats on display at the Page-Walker may be purchased and then picked up after the display period ends on October 5th.
